Desert Nightsnake

Where They are From

The Desert Nightsnake can be found from southern British Columbia in Canada, throughout western USA, to the northwest mexican sataes of Chihuahua and Sonora. As its name suggests it is a nocturnally active denizen of desert and simidesert. It shelters during the day, either brrowed into the sand or in the burrows of small mammals, reptiles, or spiders, only emerging at night.

What They Eat

The Desert Nightsnake's primary prey is small lizards and they occasionally eats small snakes, mice, toads, and large invertebrates.

What is There Defence Mechanism?

Although the Desert Nightsnake is mildly venomous and use it to paralyze small prey, the small size of this snake, its reluctance to bite, and its lack of large rear fangs mean it's considered harmless to humans
